The Harold C. Schott Respite Center provides a much-needed break for families caring for their loved one with a disability at home. Ordinarily boys who reached the age of seven were sent on to Westmead Boys Home, while girls were sent to Lane Cove. However, siblings could be retained, finishing their schooling locally. St. Joseph Home residents attend school or workshop, and participate in a variety of activities and community outings and programs.
